THIS IS NOT PART OF THE EXAM, SIMPLY THINGS YOU MAY WANT TO KNOW.
YOU ARE ALMOST DONE !!!
This last topic is FYI only, not for quiz or exam question, it is up to you to read it or not but you may learn one or two interesting things.
REMEMBER; Never Stop Learning, Because Life Never Stops Teaching.
(and you don’t want to learn the HARD way..)

(and you don’t want to learn the HARD way..)
The DMV does not provide any a vehicle for your driving test.
NO RENTAL CAR ACCEPTED.
You must be with an adult supervisor. We recommand using the car you drove during your training so you are familiar with it.
You may use our vehicle for this purpose, some restrictions may apply. Please see https://LasVegasnvDrivingSchool.com/pricing.
You can also take the DMV skill test in any passenger car or truck that is properly registered and insured.
The DMV examiner will perform a vehicle safety inspection of the vehicle and check the Certificate of Registration and Evidence of Insurance card. Make sure it is handy for the test.
You will be asked to activated all safety features so be familiar with their location if you do not lknow the car.
The vehicle should be mechanically sound and safe to drive. The DMV Inspector will verify that everything is functional (turning signals, headlights, brake and taillights, speedometer and horn, tire wear and visibility through the windshield, side windows and mirrors).
Make sure you know where everything is.
The vehicle used for the skills test should have operational seat belts for both you and the examiner. Make sure the front passenger seat is available and clean. you don’t want a banana peel there). 🙂
Verify your vehicle has its parking brake engaged (Your inspector is looking for this!). Before turning the key: You should make sure to verify that everything is fit to your size, especially the seat, steering wheel, and rear-view mirrors. Do it even if you did it prior so the inspector knows that you are doing it.
Do not forget to adjust your seat belt, make sure the inspector and passengers are using the belt .
If you drove to the test with an adult supervisor then everything should be already adjusted, but double-checking/adjusting your mirrors/seat belt, seat, etc will show the inspector you want to make sure everything is fine. Same thing that you may apreciate, when the pilot of your plane is doing his check-up before departure..
Other passengers or pets (even ferrets, snakes or spiders) (LOL) are not allowed in the car during the driving test. swith off your phone.
Any special needs must be discussed with the examiner before to the skills test.
(And NO! You DO NOT NEED to turn the music on!)
Many people don’t do it since they are too nervous:
SMILE ! it shows you are confident, and never let them see you sweat!
1) Greet the inspector . You do not have to shake his/her hand but simply say hi will be great! That will not only be the polite thing to do but will break the ice and show that you are confident.
2) Do not ask how to do things: During the driving test, the inspector will give you driving directions and will ask you to perform certain maneuvers.
He or she will not give you any guidance on how to operate your vehicle. A DMV inspector is here not to make you fail but to check your performance and decide if you are knowledgeable about rules and regulations, and able to drive alone safely, not to help you pass the test or try to make you fail.
The DMV driving test lasts about 20 minutes.
It consists of basic maneuvers such as:
If you are confident, you do not have to be nervous. Act as if the instructor is a single passenger and you are a taxi driver. (Please do not talk or drive like one! ). Be rather like a limo driver.
Drive smoothly at all times, accelerate slowly, but be assertive, not hesitant. Brake smoothly well ahead of time, pass bumps at slow speed. Be calm and confident.
If you misunderstand a question or a direction, politely ask them to repeat it.
If you make a mistake, do not panic, it can happen to everyone, but panicking or getting nervous does not help.
Pay attention to his/her comments and be natural. Smile as if you enjoy driving and never let them see you sweat!
Do not overdo it to show you are an expert.
Watch the speed limit especially in school zones !!!!
AT STOP SIGNS….:
MAKE SURE TO MARK THE STOP ( OR STOP TWICE IF THE FIRST ONE DO NOT PROVIDE ENOUGHT VISIBILITY )
And pass your driving test with confidence!…..
Say Thank you to your inspector when he/she will give you the 100 percent score!!!!!
DO NOT GO BACK YET TO REVISE PREVIOUS TOPICS or your time will not be accounted for-
Wait for THE NEXT STEP:
Session 2 : Revision (4 1/2 hour X 2) & Exam
Section (or topics) 11a and 11b are not ” lessons” but are here to split the 9 hours in two. Use this “free” time to revise as you feel fit or watch more videos and permit practice/tests. Both sections 11a and 11b have a timing of 4 1/2 hour each. When started, do not log out nor click on the next step until the timer is off . It gets upset when you ignore it and resets itself 🙁
11a – contains some interesting videos you want to watch,
11b – has plenty of Test/practice for the ones who do not have their permit yet or just if you want to test your knowledge ( ask your Parents to participate!!! 🙂
or you can go back to previous topics for revision.
DO NOT turn your computer off while the timer is running.
…And make sure to clear your browser’s memory before the exam! If it is full it may not let you finish, especially Chrome that have a very small memory.
