TO PASS THE KNOWLEDGE TEST (PERMIT) AT THE DMV on your appointment day:
- If under 18, you must be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian. Please provide: -State-certified birth certificate or valid U.S. passport (if born in the US) -Social Security Card -Any and all original or certified copies of legal name change documents
- -Two proofs of Nevada address (Use DMV 005 ) plus a proof of address in the name of whomever you live with if you have no bills, etc., in your name).
- your –Certification of Attendance form
- You will also need to pass a vision test at the DMV.
- You must provide a vehicle for the test along with proof of registration and insurance in the name of the owner of the vehicle. It does not have to be your vehicle, but it cannot be a rental vehicle.
- If over 18, you only need to provide your permit.
- If under 18, you must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Please bring:
Your permit must be at least 6 months old but less than one year (renewable)Your driving hours log (do not sign until you are with a DMV technician)Your Proof of driver’s education certificate (online course Driver’s Ed certificates do not need to be notarized and do not expire).
